I've been here most of my adult life and still the city never feels like home. I started to wonder if I look at my surroundings like an outsider, like someone who doesn't quite belong, or if I relate to it with intimate familiarity? And if home doesn't feel like home, do the memories of my childhood landscapes intersect and influence how I view my current ones?
